Deborah Magee porcupine quill hat bands are an example of one of the most traditional native American art forms. These dyed porcupine quill bands are wrapped around rawhide strips and glued into place, then attached at the back with leather string and trade beads, measuring approximately 1/4" wide.
Bead hat bands are hand strung in pearls, turquoise, coral, glass and trade beads with leather or rawhide ties and decorative conchos.
